Char-Em ISD AmeriCorps
Who We Are
Our grant allows us to place 10 AmeriCorps members in various elementary schools throughout the ISD to coach below grade level readers. During the members term of service they also volunteer in a variety of capacities in our community. The members receive a variety of training in literacy coaching and community action efforts.
What We Do
The Char-Em AmeriCorps program is the result of a Federally grant that targets below grade level readers in grades K-5.
