Habitat for Humanity is looking for folks who have a passion for fundraising and events to join our Raise the Roof Committee. Raise the Roof is a large event put on annually at Stafford's Perry in June to help us raise funds for building homes throughout the year. This committee will help us to plan and execute this year’s event and will handle a variety of work including planning a large live auction, marketing, sponsorship, distribution and pick up of materials, and other tasks as they arise. Help Victims Be Heard: Coordinate a Victim Impact Panel where victims share their story to drunk and drugged driving offenders. Flex Some Power: Inspire youth, train parents or mobilize community activities to prevent underage drinking and reduces alcohol access to youth. Roll up Your Sleeves: Help set up events, run an information booth or attend community fairs. Give a Hand: Answer phones, make copies or perform other office support duties. During the training, volunteers learn about the various aspects of our stream monitoring program, general macroinvertebrate biology, and the equipment used to collect important data about the health of our local streams. A hands-on practicum on the Bear River is included so that volunteers can “get their feet wet” before going into the field.

Time commitment: 2-4, 4-hour days in the spring and fall working with a stream team to collected important stream data and aquatic macroinvertebrates.

Volunteer: Volunteer Transportation Specialist for Hospital Deliveries

Transportation Specialists travel across the Northern portion of this great state to deliver life saving blood products to local hospitals. Most runs are scheduled although sometimes we must provide blood in an emergency, last minute situation. American Red Cross vehicles are required for use when traveling with blood. Volunteer drivers not only help save lives but also help save money for the organization. Typically a volunteer driver can be on the road between 2-5 hours. All volunteering is based off your availability. Help is always needed!
